LOCAL SOUTH CAROLINA HONEY
From the days of the Egyptian Pharaohs, the early Greeks, the Romans, and on through Biblical times, honey has been treasured both as a medium of exchange and as a rare taste treat.
Even today, it is valued because it is the only sweet available in commercial quantities that isn't man-made.
Every variety of honey is as unique as the flowering plants the bees visit. Honey ranges in color from almost clear to dark amber. Generally darker honeys contain more valuable antioxidants than lighter honeys.
